Is 41:15 Behold, I have made of thee a new sharp threshing instrument having double teeth: thou shalt thresh and beat small the mountains, and shalt make the hills as chaff; Isa 41:16 thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. I think the shift is finally happenin'
I think that the shift in my attitude toward "Worship" music is finally Happenin'!! Today on the way to work I heard 3 secular songs that just blew me away. It's funny to me how God uses all people, not just believers to reach/touch others.
I actually woke up singing, I'm Free by the Who. Then I caught a snippet of one of their songs on Sirius/XM about "Forgiveness". Then Pink Floyds song, Learning to Fly came on. After that I heard Tom Petty's song, Learning to Fly and then a song entitled, Flying. I missed the name of that Band.
Maybe He's trying to speak to me!! ;-0

I'm NOT a serial killer....
but I tried reading, "Catcher in the Rye" and just could not get into it. I HAVE read "Gravity's Rainbow" at least 20 times and I feel that qualifies me to musical interludes interruping or maybe augmenting my life. After I became a believer, I put it away; I think I gave it to the library and they probably sold it for a dollar like they did that expensive Investing Manuel I gave them.
In the back 40 of my life, Gravity's Rainbow is always calling out to me like with a siren's song. Goal: I will write an award winning novel and it will be as outrageous as GR, but without the xrated parts.

Finally
Today I forgave someone
and found myself
grinning from ear to ear like
the possum is said to do
I believe that possums do
grin when they have cheated the
speeding car on a dark road
That seldom happens
Poetry not profitable
The clerk in the bookstore looked
incredulous when the patron
came out of the Bible aisle
and asked about Poetry
She led him down many aisles
to a back corner section
where the selections were few
and most were onsale

More Quantum Leaps
Today, I was reminded of a secular teaching that I studied back in the early nineties. I do not remember the name or even the person that promoted this, but it lead me and is still leading me to new highs and a better quality of life.
Live in the moment.
Several times a day, just stop and take notice to everything that's going on around you and even in you. Are you nervous? Why? Calm? What's so peaceful? Smells? Touches? Sounds? I so incorporated this into my life that I do it all the time and sometimes it makes me appear like a space cadet or out off touch with reality, but it's quite the opposite. I'm tuned into what's going on. And most times, it connects me to the Godhead!! Try it! You'll like it. Become aware of your surroundings.
BTW....I love the comic strip, Mutts!!

Leading Worship
I'm really enjoying leading worship at Clear Springs United Methodist Church!! Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and I think Ron Catoe the Pastor has something good planned. I've picked out 3 songs that I think will complement his teaching. Sometimes I get so completely out of it and ecstatic. I miss being at the Vineyard on a regular basis and am looking and praying for some others to lead. This is God and He is in control!! WhoooHooo.....can't go wrong!!!!
